Frequently Asked Questions
Typically, patients meet with me 45 to 55 minutes per session, depending on the situation. Patients also spend 5-10 minutes checking in, and in the beginning, 15-30 min filling out paperwork. After the first session, we devise a plan to determine how often the counseling will take place.
My hours are by appointment only, Monday through Friday. I set aside one night during the week for my clients who work and can only come to counseling in the evening.
Sometimes people call me to seek counseling for a friend or relative. Although I sympathize with your predicament, your options are limited. Unfortunately, you will not be able to make an appointment for anyone other than yourself. He or she must call to schedule for an appointment. Once the appointment is scheduled, I cannot share any information with you, due to confidentiality concerns, unless the client gives me written permission to do so.
My office is located in downtown Brevard at 26 E Main Street (between Broad St and Gaston St). The office is upstairs and above the Wine Down establishment. There is parking on the street or there are two public parking lots on Gaston Street nearby.
Yes, I am an Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare and Optum provider (and in the process of adding more insurance companies). I also accept Medicare.
Fees: (while waiting to get on a few more insurance boards, my fees are reduced to a half price rate). You may call your insurance company to find out if they will reimburse you for an out-of-network-provider. If so, I can provide you with receipts from our sessions to submit.
I can accept cash and most major credit cards.
