How long are the therapy sessions? How often are they held?

Typically, patients meet with me 45 to 55 minutes per session, depending on the situation. After the first session, we devise a plan to determine how often the counseling will take place.

What are your hours? Can I have my appointments in the evening?

My hours are by appointment only, Monday through Thursday. I set aside one night during the week for my clients who work and can only have sessions in the evening.

What if I want to get therapeutic help for someone else?

Sometimes people call me to seek counseling for a friend or relative. Although I sympathize with your predicament, your options are limited. Unfortunately, you will not be able to make an appointment for anyone other than yourself. He or she must call to schedule for an appointment. Once the appointment is scheduled, I cannot share any information with you, due to confidentiality concerns, unless the client gives me written permission to do so.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, I am an Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare and Optum provider. I also accept Medicare.

Fees: You may call your insurance company to find out if they will reimburse you for an out-of-network-provider. If so, I can provide you with receipts from our sessions to submit.

I can accept cash and most major credit cards.

There are administrative costs for a request for records, letters or any other additional requests outside of the counseling relationship.
